UKWHA Gala Night

The United Kingdom Weddings & Honeymoons Awards began in 2024 with a celebration at the Orangery in Kew Gardens. It was a memorable first event, and demand for tickets soon outstripped the space available.

Guests also told us they would love a sit-down dinner and a gala evening. So the search began for a ballroom with room to bring more people together, exceptional catering and a setting worthy of the occasion.

We found it at The Dorchester on London’s Park Lane. In 2025, the awards moved to the hotel for a gala dinner, with on-stage entertainment, including theatrical performances, adding to the celebration. Finalists and winners from across the wedding industry had a grander stage on which to celebrate their achievements.

The 2026 event grew beyond a single evening. A welcome reception, industry symposium and dinner led up to the awards gala at The Dorchester, giving guests more time to meet, share ideas and build relationships.

Now the UKWHA is entering its next chapter. In 2027, the awards return to The Dorchester as part of London Wedding Week, alongside a two-day Global Wedding Summit exploring the future of weddings. Receptions, industry meetings and an exhibition will bring together wedding businesses and destinations from the UK and around the world.

What began at Kew Gardens has grown because the industry embraced it and helped shape what it could become. And 2027 will be bigger, more glamorous and better than ever before.
